Share Accounts

In today's economic environment, planning for your financial future is more important than ever. That's why Cedar Point Federal Credit Union has several savings plans and investment options to help you plan for the future.

Basic Shares

A $25.00 minimum deposit is required to open a basic share (savings) account. A competitive dividend rate is earned with an average daily balance of at least $100.00. You may open additional savings accounts (sub-share accounts) at any time. In addition, you will receive monthly statements on your accounts, with dividends paying quarterly. Money Market Share

If you maintain larger balances in savings, our Money Market Savings account is an option you may want to consider. There is a minimum balance of $2,500.00 and dividends earned are higher than those of the basic savings account. And now, with our new tiered Money Market, the more you deposit, the higher your dividend rate. Withdrawals are limited to six per quarter - with a minimum withdrawal amount of $250.00. Savings Advantages

Your funds are insured up to $100,000.00 per member by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a U.S. Government Agency. In addition, your basic savings may act as overdraft protection for your Cedar Point Federal Credit Union Share Draft (checking) account. Should you not have enough funds in your share draft account to cover a check, funds will automatically transferred from your share account to cover the amount of the check. You are limited to six share overdraft transfers per month.
