Guidelines for Cedar Point Federal Credit Union Frank E. Gorley Scholarship

This scholarship is established in memory of Frank E. Gorley,
founding member and first CEO of Cedar Point Federal Credit Union,
to aid and encourage further education.
Recipients will be awarded $1000.00 (one time).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Eligible applicant must be a member of Cedar Point Federal Credit Union, a Tri-county area resident, and 2012 graduating senior with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.


Guidelines for Cedar Point Federal Credit Union/GEICO Scholarship

This scholarship is established with the assistance of GEICO to aid and encourage further education.
Recipients will be awarded $1000.00 (one time).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Eligible applicants must be a member of or eligible for membership at Cedar Point Federal Credit Union, a Tri-county area resident, and 2012 graduating senior with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Guidelines for Cedar Point Financial Services, Inc. Scholarship

This scholarship is established to aid and encourage further education.
Recipients will be awarded $500.00 (one time).

Cedar Point Financial Services, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cedar Point Federal Credit Union

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Eligible applicants include Tri-county area residents who are 2012 graduating seniors with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Over $600,000 in scholarships will be awarded to Southern Maryland students
by local organizations using the Common Applications.

For all Cedar Point Scholarships, please submit the St. Mary’s County Common Scholarship Application or Calvert Local Scholarships Application and required documentation to the address listed on the application no later than March 15, 2012 for St. Mary's County and March 16, 2012 for Calvert County. Visit www.smcbeca.org or www.somdcan.org for more information. Cedar Point Federal Credit Union administers the above listed scholarships. The scholarship committee will receive all applications and will treat all information as confidential, and may require a personal interview. The committee will consider all applicants based on the above stated guidelines without regard to race, religion, national origin, age or handicap.
