Open A Youth Account between August 1st and October 4th and the account will receive a $25 dividend.*

Letter from Junior

Cedar Point has been serving the youngest members of our Southern Maryland community since 1992 – and 2019 is no exception. This year, we will be reintroducing a special Youth Account opportunity for new youth accounts opened between August 1st and October 4th, 2019. We’ll give the youth a special $25 dividend just for opening the account*. Additionally, for every new youth account opened, Cedar Point will be donating a backpack of school supplies to students in need in Calvert, St. Mary’s and Charles counties.

“We’re excited to provide another great opportunity for our local young people to learn how to save for the future,” says CEO Charlie Roach. “We know that a healthy financial future starts with financial literacy at a young age.”

New youth accounts not only get the $25 bonus dividend, but they also qualify for Cedar Point’s other Youth Account programs and privileges, which are available to all Youth Accounts - new or old! The A’s=$$$ program deposits $1 into each account for every “A” received in Language, Math, Science, Social Studies, or other Fundamental Requirements**. Students simply bring in their report card quarterly, and the money is deposited into their account. As a bonus opportunity, every student who receives straight A’s is entered into a drawing for $100 cash!

Youth Accounts

Cedar Point wants to help members of all ages learn and practice financial responsibility. And what better way to teach our younger members than by opening an account? Learn about our all new Junior Keepers Club account below.

Youth Account Eligibility

Dependent children of those eligible for Cedar Point membership are eligible to open their own youth account. By opening a youth account, our younger members are automatically enrolled in the Junior Keepers Club or the Youth Savings Club. A youth account requires a $5.00 minimum deposit and must be opened "in care of" a responsible adult who is in the Cedar Point Field of Membership.

Age Limitations

Children through the age of thirteen are members of the Junior Keepers Club. On their fourteenth birthday they are automatically transferred to the Youth Savings Club. Youth Savings Club members become full members of the credit union on their eighteenth birthday. Junior Keepers Club members will receive a gift with each deposit. The A's=$$$ and "A"chievement Award programs listed below are open to all school-aged youths through high school.

Welcome Junior!

Join us in welcoming our new mascot Junior to the Cedar Point family. Junior and his family are lighthouse keepers. Through his duties at the lighthouse, Junior learns all about responsibility and accountability. As a "keeper" he is also a "saver", and he'll help us teach young people about the importance of saving and social responsibility.

Making A Difference

With your help, Cedar Point was able to donate over 160 backpacks full of school supplies to students in St. Mary's, Calvert, and Charles counties for the 2017-2018 school year and 150 in the 2018-2019 school year. With your help this year, we'll be able to do it again. Watch now to see what we were able to give to students in our inaugural year.
