Life Insurance Awareness Month 2026

9/18/2026

While no one can predict what the future will bring, you can prep to make sure that your loved ones are protected in the event of your passing. September is Life Insurance Awareness Month, which means it’s a good time to explore what life insurance can do for you and how it can fit into your overall financial plan.

We sat down with our Vice President of Investment Services, Colleen Blundell, in our most recent podcast episode, where she covers the basics of life insurance, common misconceptions, and pitfalls to avoid while looking for or reevaluating coverage. Check out the video below for Colleen's insights.

The life insurance segment starts at 7 minutes 23 seconds.

A few things that the right coverage can do for you include:

  • Assist your loved ones who rely on you by covering burial and final expenses or replacing missing income
  • Help you address key concerns, such as college tuition and mortgage payments.
  • Support your loved ones future or causes closest to your heart

We encourage you to take some time this month to evaluate your current plan, or if you currently don’t have one, to explore what life insurance could mean for you.
